09/07/2005 (ContentDesk) September 7, 2005 -- Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan come to "life" and help raise funds for a new child-friendly emergency room, and to help provide support services for abused children during "Disney on Ice: Princess Classics – SJ Kid's Health Night," on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at 7 p.m., at the Wachovia Center. The Children's Healthcare Foundation of South Jersey (CHF) and healthcare partners present lower level, center section seating for $26 – up to half-off regular price. Proceeds benefit South Jersey pediatric health programs – and "plant the seeds of reading – bring storybook characters to life" during a special reading awareness campaign. Funds for these projects are also being raised through another Comcast group sales benefit, "Nightmares" on Broad Street "Xtreme Scream Park." "The Children's Healthcare Foundation is thrilled to again partner with Comcast in providing an evening of family fun at a great price for a worthwhile cause," said Executive Director Kory Michael Aversa. "When you buy Disney on Ice tickets through the CHF you help build new medical facilities for our children, support services for children with no insurance, help South Jersey's foster children, and promote reading awareness."The CHF will raise funds to support programs that benefit the health, development and other needs of South Jersey's children, as well as advancing and supporting South Jersey health facilities and resources. In that mission, "Princess Classic" ticket sales will help raise funds and awareness for the child friendly Emergency Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, refurbish a new play therapy room at Robins' Nest Inc. to help abused and neglected children, and provide free books and reading activities for area children.Tickets through the Foundation will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. "We hope to sell out SJ Kid's Health Night tickets for Princess Classics," added Aversa. "Our Disney on Ice tickets in December sold out in just weeks – and raised nearly $4,000 for South Jersey's children."
